Our mission at QUADCA is to help you make an educated choice on who you hire to clean your furnace, air conditioning, air ducts and dryer vent system. We accomplish this by informing the public on the proper types of equipment, tools and cleaning techniques necessary to effectively clean these systems. We also share tips on how to avoid scams and shady billing practices that give HVAC cleaners a bad name.
Our ultimate goal is to protect the consumer while improving the image of our industry and recognizing businesses or individuals that do the job right. The QUADCA website provides you with access to businesses that carry our QUADCA certification—a process that validates every component of their operation. Businesses that carry QUADCA certification have been inspected by the QUADCA team, ensuring they use proper equipment, tools, cleaning techniques and business practices in their day-to-day operations.
What’s in an HVAC license ( Quadca Certification )
QUADCA stands for Qualified Air Duct Cleaners Affiliation. Our mandate and training are geared towards residential and light commercial duct cleaning. If you are a company that does large commercial projects, we welcome you too! About 80% of the furnace and duct cleaning companies out there are not committed enough to perform proper furnace and air duct cleaning—they lack the right equipment, knowledge and training. Some of them genuinely try to do it right but just lack the knowledge, while only a small portion has it all together.
It’s expected that only 20% of the duct cleaners within the industry will be able to become QUADCA members. For all of us at QUADCA, we're just fine with that. Our mission is not to become a huge entity. We just want to make the industry better, stronger and help the good duct cleaners get a more level playing field.
